First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has said that the Super Falcons gave England’s side a run for their money after the Women’s World Cup defeat of 4-2 on penalties in Brisbane on Monday.

Oluremi noted that the match was not easy for England noting that Nigeria played well.

She said, “I want to say that they played very well and we are proud of them. We gave England a run for their money and so we will be waiting to receive them.

“The match wasn’t easy for England. It was like a bonus to them and they really played fine soccer.”
