Why Many Nigeria Politicians Can not Be Trusted – Jonathan
‎
‎Former President Goodluck Jonathan has accused some unnamed politicians of betraying him during the 2015 elections.
‎
‎Speaking on Thursday at his former Chief of Staff, Mike Oghiadomhe‘s 70th birthday celebration in Benin, Edo state capital, Jonathan said many Nigerian politicians cannot be trusted.
‎
‎“Politics in the Nigerian standard is about betrayals. I witnessed a lot of betrayal during 2015 election,” he said.
‎
‎“You will find it difficult to see somebody who will say the same thing in the morning and say the same thing in the afternoon and in the evening.
‎
‎“They will tell you something this minute, and in the next hour, they will say another. For the next hour, they will say another thing. But, I am quite pleased to associate with Oghiadomhe.”
‎
‎Jonathan described Oghiadomhe as a reliable and trustworthy person who can “take a bullet” on his behalf.
‎
‎“For me, he [Oghiadomhe] is somebody you can take his words to the bank. Most politicians, you can not take their words to the bank.”
‎
