Seven Killed, Others Injured in Yobe Auto Crash

Seven Killed, Others Injured in Yobe Auto Cras

Seven persons have lost their lives in a fatal road accident along the Damaturu–Maiduguri highway in Yobe State.

The crash, which occurred on Tuesday, involved a commercial vehicle heading towards Maiduguri that reportedly lost control and somersaulted along the busy route.

 

Eyewitnesses said residents and passersby rushed to the scene, assisting in the evacuation of victims to a nearby hospital. Medical personnel later confirmed seven passengers dead on arrival.

Several others sustained varying degrees of injuries, with hospital sources indicating that some remain in critical condition and are receiving intensive treatment.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the cause of the accident, but security and emergency agencies have continued to caution motorists against overspeeding and reckless driving on the hi
