Senator Godswill Akpabio has just been declared as winner for 10 Senate president Assembly.
He defeated his main rival, Senator Abdulazeez Yari, in a keenly-contested election on the floor of the Red Chamber, on Tuesday.
At the time of filling this report, the result of the votes scored by Akpabio and Yari was yet to be announced, but collation had ended.
