Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has said Nigerians should appreciate the comparatively lower cost of petrol in the country, citing the price of the commodity in the United Kingdom.
Okpebholo made the remarks while addressing APC supporters in Edo State, recounting his experience at a filling station in London, where he said a litre of petrol cost more than ₦3,000 after conversion.
He said the comparison should help Nigerians understand the economic realities surrounding petrol pricing, while commending President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to stabilise the economy.
