Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo has expressed deep sadness over her inability to be physically present in Nigeria to pay her final respects to late screen legend Olu Jacobs.
Ozokwo, in a tribute shared on social media, said it hurts her heart that she could not be in the country at a time when the industry and loved ones were bidding farewell to the celebrated actor.
According to her, contractual obligations prevented her from attending the ceremony, despite her desire to be there.
Describing Jacobs as a “great legend,” Ozokwo said her heart and thoughts were with everyone gathered to honour him. She also prayed for a peaceful farewell and for his remarkable legacy to continue to live on.
“Though I may not be there in person, please know that I am with you all in spirit,” she wrote.
Ozokwo concluded her tribute by describing Jacobs as a great legend whose contribution to Nollywood would remain enduring.
