Passengers Traveling for Wedding in Kano Foil Kidnap Attack, Kill Terrorist

A group of passengers travelling to Kano State for a wedding ceremony have killed a terrorist in Zamfara State.

PRNigeria gathered that the incident occurred when the travelers foiled an attack by terrorists, who attempted to kidnap them along a road from Talata Mafara to Gusau.

According to a credible local source, the foiled abduction operation was carried out by two terrorists.

The source said that though one of the bandit escaped, two AK-47 rifles and their guns were captured by the travelling passengers.

He said: “The travelers were on their way to Kano from Kebbi State for wedding arrangement/process.

“On their way, few kilometers away from Fangal Tama check point, they heard gun shots all over, only for them to see two bandits with their motorcycles by the road side.

“Instantly, they asked the travelers that included the bride, her father, her mother and two other relatives to step down from the car.

“They quickly forced them to follow them to the nearby bush. On their way, one of the travelers began to think of what will happen to them especially his daughter, so decided to react and resist the kidnapping.

“Eventually, he jack up one of the two bandits and killed him. The other one escaped but dropped his gun and ran for safety. So they packed the two guns, moved out of the forest and handed them over to the military at a check point”
