Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has dismissed allegations by singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, that he bit him during their celebrity boxing rematch in Lagos.
Speaking during an appearance on TVC Entertainment, Okocha described the claim as false, insisting that he wore a mouth guard throughout the contest, making such an incident impossible.
“I was wearing a mouth guard. How could I have bitten him? I would rather chew grass than bite Portable. He should simply accept defeat,” Okocha said.
The rematch, held at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, ended with Okocha declared the winner after Portable was disqualified for repeatedly violating the rules of the bout.
Following the fight, Portable alleged that Okocha bit him on the back and held him by the neck during the contest, claims the actor has firmly denied.
The bout drew widespread attention on social media, with fans debating the outcome and the conduct of both celebrities. Okocha maintained that the result was clear and urged Portable to move on rather than continue making allegations about the fight
