MNJTF Receives Logistics Support from EU to Boost Counter-Terrorism Operations

The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) received a significant boost from the European Union (EU) in terms of logistics support items, aimed at enhancing its operational efficiency and capabilities.

Lt.-Col. Abubakar Abdullahi, Chief Military Public Information Officer, MNJTF, Ndjamena, Chad, made this known in a statement released in Maiduguri.

He said that the support was facilitated by the DCI Group and includes office IT equipment such as laptop computers, tablets, printers, and office furniture.

He explained that the items were handed over to the Force Commander, Maj. -Gen. Ibrahim Ali, by the deputy chief of the DCI Group, Emmanuel Gastines.

Gen. Ali expressed gratitude to the EU for its continued support and commended the efforts of the DCI Group in executing the support project.

He added that the equipment is expected to streamline operations, improve communication, and enhance decision-making processes within the task force.

“This support is part of the EU’s broader initiative to stabilize the Lake Chad Basin region. Future assistance will include surveillance equipment, specialized training, and quick impact projects designed to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the MNJTF,”he said.
