The Lagos State Government will next week begin piloting its digital house numbering system, the “Identifier Project,” in Ikeja as part of efforts to improve navigation, security, and urban management.

Airtel, Vodacom Strike Multi-Country Infrastructure-Sharing Partnership

The initiative will assign each property a unique digital code embedded with QR technology and colour codes specific to each local government area. The codes will link to official property data, aiding service delivery, land documentation, and emergency response.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu unveiled the project at the Nigeria Land Titling, Registration and Documentation Programme in Lagos, describing it as a “technology-driven solution to long-standing land and address system challenges.”

The system is being implemented by the state’s Office of Electronic Geographic Information System in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development
