The Lagos State Government has procured Mobile Intensive Care Unit and transport ambulances for the Lagos State Ambulance Service.

This was part of effort by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to rejig the medical emergency and pre-hospital care services in the state.

The Lagos State Ministry of Health disclosed this in a terse statement.

“His administration has also completed the construction of five LASAMBUS operational bases at General Hospital Lagos, General Hospital Ikorodu, Lagos University Hospital, General Hospital Badagry and the Eti-Osa Maternal and Child Centre.

“Continous training and capacity building for LASAMBUS staff and first responders have also been given the priority it deserves. Evidently, emergency response time has greatly reduced,” the statement added.
