Kayode Alabi, Deputy Governor of Kwara State, has recovered from the dreaded coronavirus disease, three weeks after contracting the virus.

Alabi disclosed his COVID-19 recovery status via his official Twitter handle on Friday.

“It is with great joy that I announce to you that I have tested negative to the deadly Corona Virus,” he tweeted.

“I want to use this medium to appreciate God, the author and finisher of my faith and also to thank everyone who showed concern during the trying time.

“I wish to restate that covid19 is real and must not be taken for granted! Let us all come together and fight this common enemy of man to a halt.”

The Deputy Governor and his wife had, on August 3, announced they tested positive for the virus disease and were in isolation.
