Nigeria has confirmed 160 new cases of coronavirus, taking the total to 53,477 in the country.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday night via its verified Twitter handle.
Out of the new cases, Plateau recorded the highest with 44 cases, followed by Lagos with 27. Others are Katsina-18, Edo-15, FCT-14, Ondo-10, Oyo-9, Kwara-6, Abia-4, Nasarawa-4, Kano-3, Ekiti-2, Kaduna-2, Kebbi-1 and Ogun-1.
Total discharged cases rose to 41,017 as death toll remained at 1,011.
