A fire outbreak has occurred on a small section of the Lagos Blue Line track at a spot opposite the NEPA Station, near the Eko Bridge, in the Apogbon area of Lagos State.

According to a post by Gboyega Akosile, the spokesman for the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on his X.com handle @gboyegakosile, the incident occurred at 4:12 p.m. on Saturday.

Akosile also stated that no casualties were reported and that there was no train service at the time of the incident.

He added that a team of safety and emergency personnel, along with other first responders, had completely extinguished the fire.

“Lagosians in that area can go about their business peacefully as the situation is under control.

“Kindly await further details on the operations of the train from @Lamataonline,” the post concluded
