Former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has backed France to win the next FIFA World Cup, insisting Les Bleus possess the quality, depth, and intensity required to conquer world football.
Speaking on Kroos & Kroos, Wenger acknowledged that some may view his prediction as patriotic because he is French, but maintained that it is based on his analysis of the modern game.
He, however, identified Spain as France’s biggest challenger, describing La Roja as the only side capable of defeating Les Bleus due to their superior technical quality and unrivalled collective football culture.
Wenger also noted that although Asian teams have made significant progress, they still struggle to match the speed, intensity, and technical demands needed to compete consistently with the world’s best at the World Cup.
