The National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children has plan to establish 50,000 centers designed in its quest to reintegrate almajiri students and out-of-school children back into its new school programs.

The Executive Secretary of the commission, Hon. Sha’aban Sharada disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the PRNigeria Abuja Center on Monday.

He noted that the integration of Qur’anic education and skills acquisition system will forestall Almajiri syndrome and curtailed the number of out of school children roaming the streets.

The former Kano State house member said with the commencement of Almajiri and out-of-school programmes by the commission, graduates of the Qur’anic schools would be given recognised certificate like their counterparts in the conventional schools around the country and can be gainfully employed

“We are also integrate school feeding programme to encourage the pupils. This will give us more attention. We will also employ over 200,000 by 2027 as either facilitators, teachers, and other skills and unskilled staff in the commission’s designated schools around the country” stated the executive secretary. self-reliance, critical thinking skills, vocational skill Islamic knowledge for those in almagiris.

“We hope that if someone can memorize 114 chapters of the Quran, acquiring basic skills should not be difficult.

“We believe this program will discourage them from engaging in any criminal activity.
