It was a narrow escape for an operative of the Department of State Services (DSS) who escaped lynching from the hands of youths, numbering over 50 at Junior Secondary School, Kayada polling stations Kuje in the ongoing FCT Area Council elections.

The angry youths who accused the DSS operative of taking videos and pictures of where they are selling and buying votes was manhandled for more than five minutes.

Looking terribly scared and ruffled, he was however lucky to be set free with his damaged handset and recovered his stolen wallet.

Incidentally, there was no single security agent to come to Jo’s aid while the molestation and rough handling lasted as he battled helplessly, begging the youths to spare his life.

Speaking to our correspondent before escaping on a motorcycle, the operative lamented that though the youths seized his accreditation card, he was however lucky to escape with his life, handset and wallet.
