Fashola Appointed Board of Resolve to Save Lives Nigeria
Former Lagos State Governor and erstwhile Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Resolve to Save Lives Nigeria (RTSL Nigeria), an international public health organisation.
The appointment was officially announced on Friday by the organisation, which is focused on preventing cardiovascular diseases and strengthening epidemic preparedness and response systems.
RTSL Nigeria operates as part of a global health initiative aimed at saving lives by supporting national efforts to build resilient public health infrastructure and advance critical health interventions.
The inclusion of Fashola, a respected public administrator and senior advocate, is expected to further deepen the organisation’s engagement with government stakeholders and policy-makers across the country.
Fashola’s appointment comes at a time when Nigeria continues to grapple with growing concerns over non-communicable diseases and the need for improved health security. His experience in governance and law is seen as a strategic asset to the board as it pushes for stronger health systems and policies that prioritise prevention and public safety.
