Forty-five more coronavirus patients have been discharged in Edo State.

The state Governor, Godwin Obaseki made this known on Tuesday via his verified Twitter handle.

“We have discharged 45 more #COVID19 patients from the state’s isolation centres,” Obaseki tweeted.

“We appreciate our hardworking and diligent frontline workers who have shown uncommon resolve in this trying time.

“Please stay safe and protect the elderly who are vulnerable to the virus.”

Nigeria has recorded a total of 20,919 COVID-19 cases, 7,109 discharged and 525 deaths in the country.

Edo however ranks sixth among the 36 states of the federation, with a total of 797 confirmed cases.
