Department of State Services (DSS) has assured Nigerians of adequate security during and after the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The Service made this known during a joint security press briefing at the Defence Headquarters, in Abuja on Thursday.

In a statement by the Spokesperson of the Service, Peter Afunanya, said to achieve the desired environment for the elections, the Service engaged in proactive and intelligence-led operations across the country.

In one of the operations, Afunanya said DSS operatives recovered weapons from a property along Airport Road, in the Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State
