Dismissed Soldier, 2 Others Nabbed Over Stolen Motorcycle in FCT

Security operatives have apprehended three suspects, including a dismissed soldier, in connection with the theft of a motorcycle along the Abuja–Keffi Expressway.

The operation was launched following a report filed on July 1 by a victim who alleged that his unregistered motorcycle was forcibly snatched by unidentified assailants.

Intelligence-led surveillance traced the stolen motorcycle to the Aso ‘C’ area of Mararaba in Nasarawa State, where two individuals — Isah Adamu and Abdullahi Aliyu — were arrested. The duo claimed they had purchased the motorcycle for ₦1.1 million.

Further investigation led to the arrest of the prime suspect, Adamu Haruna, at his residence in Jikwoyi. Haruna, identified as a dismissed soldier, was found in possession of a Nigerian Army identification card, a jackknife, an electroshock device (shocker), and two sets of military uniforms.

All three suspects are currently in police custody and are undergoing further interrogation. Authorities say efforts are ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement in other possible criminal activities
