CDCFIB Announces Computer-Based Test for Recruitment Applicants

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that a computer-based test (CBT) will soon be conducted for applicants shortlisted in its ongoing nationwide recruitment exercise.

In a public notice signed by the Secretary to the Board, Major General (Rtd.) A.M. Jibril, and dated October 21, 2025, the CDCFIB expressed appreciation to members of the public for their patience throughout the recruitment process.

According to the statement, the CBT will take place across all thirty-six states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The exercise is a major step in the selection process for candidates seeking employment into any of the four services under the Board — the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), the Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).

Applicants have been directed to visit the Board’s official recruitment portal — https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — next week to confirm their eligibility to sit for the test, as well as to obtain details of their designated centres and examination times.

The Board also cautioned applicants to be wary of fraudulent individuals and fake websites claiming to represent the CDCFIB. “All applicants are enjoined to take note of the Board’s portal address highlighted above to avoid being scammed,” the statement read.

The CDCFIB reiterated its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process, assuring applicants that all stages of the exercise will be conducted fairly and in accordance with due process.
