The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described its sweeping victory in Saturday’s legislative by-elections across twelve states as a strong endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC expressed gratitude to Nigerians for what it called “decisive support” that ensured the triumph of its candidates in the polls.

“This win is yet another solid endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda, which is steadily delivering transformation of our country’s economy and other sectors of national life,” the statement read.

The party commended President Tinubu for providing a level playing field for the contest, while also applauding its progressive governors, leaders, members and supporters for their sacrifices and contributions to the electoral outcome.

APC further congratulated its victorious candidates, urging them to justify the confidence of their constituents by translating the Renewed Hope Agenda into tangible benefits through purposeful legislative interventions.

The ruling party also singled out its National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, for praise, noting that the victory marked his first major electoral success since assuming office.

While lauding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the polls and security agencies for maintaining order, the APC acknowledged that there were cases of violence and voter suppression in some districts.

“Our deepest gratitude remains with the Nigerian electorate, and we urge all Nigerians to sustain their support for our great Party and Mr President as he continues to pave a clear and steady path of prosperity for this and future generations,” the statement added.
