BREAKING: Nigeria Confirms 252 New COVID-19 Cases, 3 Deaths

252 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria, taking the total to 52,800 in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this on Tuesday night via its verified Twitter handle.

Of the 252 new cases, Plateau, Enugu and Rivers recorded higher infections with 50, 35 and 27 respectively, than Lagos, the epicentre, with 26. Others are FCT-18, Kaduna-18, Ekiti-10, Kano-10, Taraba-9, Anambra-8, Edo-8, Oyo-8, Delta-7, Ogun-6, Abia-5, Bayelsa-5, Ebonyi-1 and Osun-1.

There new deaths were also confirmed, pushing the toll to 1,007, while discharged toll rose to 39,964.

A breakdown of the cases as reported by NCDC reads below:
