Yakubu Dogara, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congres (APC).

Mai Mala Buni, Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Convention Planning Committee and Governor of Kebbi State disclosed this on Friday, shortly after both him and Dogara met with the President, Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja.

The former speaker “is now a member of APC,” said Buni.

It is yet unclear the reason behind Dogara’s defection to the ruling party as the former speaker declined responding to questions from newsmen.

More details soon.
