BREAKING: Deaths Hit 200 As Nigeria Records 284 New COVID-19 Cases

284 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Nigeria, taking the total to 6,667 in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC broke the news on Wednesday via its verified Twitter handle.

Out of the 284 new cases, 199 were confirmed in Lagos, 26 in Rivers, 19 in Oyo, eight in FCT and Borno, seven in Plateau, six in Jigawa, five in Kano, two in Abia and one each in Ekiti, Delta, Kwara and Taraba.

Deaths toll also rose to 200 while 1,840 patients have recovered from the virus disease in the country.

NCDC tweeted: “284 new cases of #COVID19;

8-Borno
7-Plateau
6-Jigawa
5-Kano
2-Abia
1-Ekiti
1-Delta
1-Kwara
1-Taraba.
