A Federal High Court in Lagos State has ordered the release of Senator Orji Kalu from prison.

The Abia North Senatorial representative had, in his application filed on Tuesday May 12, asked the court to order his release from the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service NCS, Kuje, Abuja, following the nullification of his conviction by the supreme court.

The court which fixed today, Tuesday for hearing of the appeal, has now ordered the release of the former Abia governor.
