BREAKING: 566 New COVID-19 Cases, 8 Deaths, As Total Surpasses 25,000

Nigeria has recorded 566 new cases of coronavirus, pushing the total to 25,133 in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) broke the news on Monday night via its verified Twitter handle.

Out of the 566 new cases, Lagos and Oyo topped the list of cases by state with 166 and 66 respectively. Others are Delta-53, Ebonyi-43, Plateau-34, Ondo-32, FCT-26, Ogun-25, Edo-24, Imo-15, Bayelsa-13, Benue-12, Gombe-11, Kano-11, Kaduna-11, Osun-8, Nasarawa-7, Borno-5, Katsina-2 and Anambra-2.

Eight new fatalities were also confirmed, taking the total to 573, while total recoveries in the country rose to 9,402.

A breakdown of cases as reported by NCDC reads below:
