BREAKING: 4 COVID-19 Patients Die In Lagos

The Lagos State Government has announced the death of four coronavirus patients receiving treatment in the state.

The state Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi made the announcement on Thursday via his verified Twitter handle but did not disclose the identity of the deceased COVID-19 patients.

“Additional 4 #COVID19 related deaths were recorded in Lagos. Total number of #COVID19 related deaths in Lagos rises to 42,” Abayomi tweeted.

He also confirmed the 199 new #COVID9 infections recorded in the state as announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC on midnight Wednesday.

“The new cases bring the number of confirmed #COVID19 infection in Lagos to 2970,” the health commissioner wrote.

“Additional 17 fully recovered #COVID19 patients; 6 females and 11 males were discharged. Total number of #COVID19 discharged patients in Lagos now stand at 649.”
