BREAKING: 248 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed In Nigeria

248 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Nigeria, taking the tally to 4,399 in the country.

This was made known by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC on Sunday via its verified Twitter handle.

Out of the 248 new cases, 81 were confirmed in Lagos, 35 in Jigawa, 26 in Borno and Kano, 20 in Bauchi, 13 in FCT, 12 in edo, 10 in Sokoto, seven in Zamfara, four in Kwara and kebbi, two in Gombe, Taraba, Ogun and Ekiti, and one each in Osun and Bayelsa.

Total deaths and discharged also rose to 143 and 778 respectively.

NCDC tweeted: “248 new cases of #COVID19; 81-Lagos 35-Jigawa 26-Borno 26-Kano 20-Bauchi 13-FCT 12-Edo 10-Sokoto 7-Zamfara 4-Kwara 4-Kebbi 2-Gombe 2-Taraba 2-Ogun 2-Ekiti 1-Osun 1-Bayelsa.
