A research by the Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers has revealed that air conditioners, if not turned off, are capable of spreading the dreaded coronavirus disease. The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has advised Nigerians to disregard the proposed timetable for the 2020/2021 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) timetable circulating online. The Head of Public Affairs, WAEC, Nigeria, Mr Demianus Ojijeogu, told The PUNCH on Sunday that the timetable circulating online was not from the examination body. “The timetable in circulation did not emanate from WAEC, Nigeria. Please, disregard,” said Ojijeogu. The body had initially scheduled to hold the exam between April 6 and June 5 but postponed it because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A man named Edet Okon Asim, who was alleged to have raped a 12-year-old-girl, has been appointed by Cross River Governor, Ben Ayade as his Special Adviser on Biodiversity.
