Gunmen have reportedly abducted no fewer than 29 villagers in the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The 29, which comprised men, housewives and children, were abducted in the middle of Tuesday night from Yewuti village; the hometown of the immediate past vice chairman of Kwali Area Council, Alhaji Zubairu Jibrin Yewuti. To facilitate the repatriation, the government has released N150m for hiring 40 buses to convey its desperate citizens from Sudan to Cairo in Egypt. The Federal Government has declared that it had commenced the disconnection of some power firms from the national grid as a result of their non-adherence to the Electricity Market Rules.
