The statistical analysis of the results of the February 25 presidential election and its related appendices were admitted into evidence by the Presidential Election Petition Court on Thursday. The Independent National Electoral Commission’s results viewing portal IReV contained obscured results for 18,088 polling places, which the court also acknowledged as evidence. The exchange rate in the Investors and Exporters, I&E window increased to N664.04 per dollar from N471.67 per dollar on Tuesday, which caused the Naira to lose over half of its value in the official market yesterday. Oluwafemi Damilola has been charged with defrauding four prostitutes of N45,000 and has been taken before a chief magistrate court in Ondo State. The victims claimed Damilola took advantage of them for sex and that once they provided it for him, he paid them by creating a false alert. It was discovered that the police had been notified of the incident, and Damilola was later detained and charged with two counts of fraud-related offenses. DSS Operatives Grill Suspended EFCC Chair, Bawa The Suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, is currently in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS). It was learnt that Bawa arrived the headquarters of DSS at about 9:02pm. A source told Meridianspy that the suspended EFCC boss is currently being grilled by the operatives of the secret police. The multi-million dollar Golden Jubilee Monument, constructed by the last governor, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has been destroyed by the Kano State Government under Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf. The monument, which is located near the Kano Government House roundabout, was constructed in 2017 to mark the state’s 50th anniversary.
