Access Bank unveils DiamondXtra Season 16 in Abuja

Access Bank Plc has unveiled season 16 of its hybrid promo scheme, DiamondXtra, for customers in Abuja.

The launch of the season 16 of the promotional scheme took place on Thursday in  Nyanya; a satellite town in the FCT,  where the bank has one of its branches.

The event which was duly monitored by representatives of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), had a huge turn-out of DiamondXtra account holders who thronged into the venue for participation.

Speaking at the event, Regional Director of the Bank, Abuja, Neka Adogu, expressed a renewed commitment to empower its customers; to foster financial growth and to continue to serve as a catalyst to their dreams.

Adogu said the bank would give N135 million in cash prizes to 8448 lucky customers this season.

“These rewards will be distributed across various categories, including Loyalty rewards, Regional Draws, Regional Onsite Draws, Free Digital Marketing Training, and Digital Cluster Draws,” she said.

Also, she reiterated that just as the previous years in order to ensure transparency and accountability of the reward scheme, regulators from National Lottery Regulatory Commission and Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission were in place to monitor all the draws to ensure transparency.

The deputy director at the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Chinyere Anyika, who spoke extensively about the DiamondXtra promo, said her organisation was delighted to partner with Access Bank in the unveiling of the season 16 of the promo.

Isaiah Usman Terisha,  a past winner of the promo who is a DiomondXtra account holder with the Wuse Zone 4 branch of the bank , who won N1,000,000 in 2016, testified at the event, noting that the scheme was real and rewarding. He clearly pointed out that the money won from the promo had helped him to expand his computer accessory business.

Sani Salisu, a roadside bread seller also testified at the event. Salisu narrated how he won N50,000 in 2019 as a holder of a DiamondXtra savings account with the Maraba branch of the bank.

The highlight of the DiamondXtra season 16 launch in Abuja was an onsite draw that produced 40 lucky winners who went home with N10,000 each. There were also games with consolation cash prizes for customers who were present at the event.

DiamondXtra is a hybrid  interest-yielding savings account which allows deposit of both cash and third party cheques.

The DiamondXtra initiative was launched in July 2008 by the bank to encourage savings and reward its loyal customers for staying put with the bank.

Since its inception in 2008,  Access Bank Plc has rewarded over 26,000 customers through the DiamondXtra initiative.

The lucky customers had leveraged on the cash prizes  gotten from the initiative to establish and sustain their business and crafts of their choice.
