389 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria, taking the total to 8,733 in the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) broke the news on Wednesday via its verified Twitter handle.
Of the 389 new cases, 256 were confirmed in Lagos, 23 in Katsina, 22 in Edo, 14 in Rivers, 13 in Kano, 11 in Adamawa and Akwa Ibom, seven in Kaduna, six in Kwara and Nasarawa, two in Gombe, Plateau, Abia, Delta, Benue, Niger, Kogi and Oyo and one each in Imo, Borno, Ogun and Anambra.
Total recoveries rose to 2,501 as fatalities in the country hit 254
