Workers’ Day: First Lady Commends Workers on National Development
Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has extended warm greetings to workers across the country in commemoration of this year’s Workers’ Day, applauding their resilience, dedication, and contributions to national growth.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday, the First Lady described Nigerian workers as the backbone of the nation’s progress, noting that their daily efforts continue to drive development across sectors.
She acknowledged the commitment of public servants, private sector professionals, artisans, and entrepreneurs, emphasizing that their collective labour remains vital to sustaining the country’s economic and social advancement.
Mrs Tinubu also commended trade unions for their advocacy in promoting workers’ welfare, appreciating their cooperation in efforts aimed at strengthening the workforce.
She reiterated her appreciation for the contributions of Nigerian workers and wished them a happy Workers’ Day celebration.
