The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike; Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo; and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, have been named in the revised All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general election.
The expanded list, released on Monday night, features prominent political figures from across party lines as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign structure takes shape.
According to the revised arrangement, President Tinubu will head the campaign council, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, serving as vice-chairmen.
Wike has been designated to coordinate the campaign in Rivers State and the FCT, while Soludo will oversee campaign activities in Anambra State. Adeleke, who won the August 2026 Osun governorship election on the platform of the Accord Party, has been named the campaign coordinator for Osun State.
Other prominent figures included in the revised council are Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, former Lagos State governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode, former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, and Presidential Adviser on Policy and Coordination Hadiza Bala Usman.
Former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari has been appointed Director-General of the campaign council, while Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq are among those assigned senior leadership positions.
The inclusion of Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and Adeleke of the Accord Party highlights the campaign council’s broader political composition beyond the ruling APC.
The development comes amid intensifying political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with the ruling party working to consolidate support across the country and strengthen its mobilisation machinery.
The revised council is expected to coordinate campaign strategy, political mobilisation, stakeholder engagement and election planning across the federation as Tinubu seeks another term in office.
The appointments also underscore the growing importance of cross-party alliances and political realignments in the run-up to the next general election.
