President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said the apparent end of prolonged ASUU strikes is an answer to the prayers of Nigerian parents and students, noting that university programmes can now run their full academic duration without repeated disruptions.
The President said uninterrupted academic calendars would allow students enrolled in four-year degree programmes to graduate within the expected timeframe, helping to restore confidence in Nigeria’s higher education system.
He stressed that maintaining industrial harmony in public universities remains a priority for his administration, adding that efforts are ongoing to address issues affecting the education sector through dialogue and policy reforms.
The remarks come amid renewed discussions on improving university funding, staff welfare and ensuring stable academic activities across tertiary institutions.
