SOURCES: Wike, El-rufai, Oyetola Nominated as Tinubu Submits Ministerial List to Senate

There are strong indications that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has finally submitted the list of his ministerial nominees to the Senate.

The list according to sources is filled with former governors, technocrats and some known associates of the President.

Former governors David Umahi (Ebonyi), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Mohammed Badaru (Jigawa), Nasir El-rufai (Kaduna), Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun) and Ben Ayade (Cross River) were said to have made the list.

Others on the list include Tokunbo Abiru, David Edevbie, Betta Edu, Ali Pate, Wale Edun, Lateef Fagbemi and Adebayo Adelabu.

Dele Alake who is already serving as Presidential spokesman was also mentioned to have made the list.

The list which is yet to be read to Senators by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, reportedly forced the Senate into a closed-door session.

The closed-door session started at exactly 12.15 pm after the adoption of votes and proceedings of plenary held on Wednesday.

A sourced who sought anonymity told POLITICS DIGEST that the closed-door session was called for arrangement on how the nominees will be screened and confirmed.

Another source added that the lawmakers are supposed to embark on recess but will consider shifting it to be able to screen the ministerial nominees.
