President Buhari Hopes To Complete Second Niger Bridge Before 2023

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his hope of commissioning the Second Niger Bridge project before the end of his tenure in 2023.

President Buhari said this on Thursday at the presentation of 2021 budget in a joint session of the two chambers of the National Assembly, noting that the project is at about 46 per cent completion.

“The Second Niger Bridge is at about 46 percent completion,” he said. We hope to commission the project before the end of our tenure in 2023.”

The bridge which is being constructed across the Niger River will link Asaba, the Delta state capital and Ozubulu and Ogbaru areas in Anambra State.
