Police Rescue Suspected Burglars From Being Lynched In Lagos

Police patrol team has rescued some suspected burglars from being lynched by a mob in Lagos State.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday along Lagos Island area of the state.

According to the Lagos State Police Command who made the disclosure, items recovered from the unnamed young men are clothes.

The Command noted that they have been handed over to Area ‘A’ for further investigation.

“Early this morning Police officers on patrol along Lagos Island rescued these suspected burglars from being lynched by a mob. Items recovered from them are clothes. They have been handed over to Area ‘A’ for further investigation. #TheGoodGuys,” the state police command noted on Twitter.

In a related development, the Police Command also apprehended a suspected phone snatcher who tried to dispossess a passerby.

The unnamed young man was arrested by Police officers at Iyana Oworo area of the state.

When questioned, the suspected criminal disclosed he is an ex-convict.

He was however secured and handed over to Oworo Police Station for investigation.

“Police officers at Iyana Oworo have also arrested a suspected phone snatcher who tried to dispossess a passerby. When questioned, he disclosed he is an ex-convict. He has been secured and handed over to Oworo Police Station for investigation. #StaySafe,” the police command also noted.
