The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has appealed to political stakeholders and residents of Osun State to embrace peace before, during and after the forthcoming governorship election.

The revered monarch stressed the importance of conducting a peaceful, free and credible electoral process, urging political parties, candidates and their supporters to avoid violence, hate speech and actions capable of disrupting public order.

He noted that peaceful elections are essential for preserving democracy and fostering sustainable development in the state. The traditional ruler also encouraged eligible voters to participate responsibly in the electoral process while respecting the rule of law.

The Ooni further called on security agencies, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a transparent process that reflects the will of the people.
