The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has officially petitioned the country’s Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, and the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate and prosecute Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate (Kwam 1), for allegedly obstructing an aircraft at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

NCAA disclosed this in a statement on Thursday on X.

This comes after the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Thursday confirmed that K1 De Ultimate obstructed aircraft and has been placed on a no-fly list by Nigerian Airline Operators.

In a fresh update, the NCAA said that it has petitioned AGF and the Inspector-General of Police to prosecute K1 under the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs) 2023 and other applicable laws.

The federal agency described the incident as a grave violation of aviation safety standards and airport protocols.

“The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has officially petitioned the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Inspector-General of Police to launch a thorough investigation into the incident involving musician King Wasiu Omagbolahan Olasunkanmi Adewale Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, and domestic airline ValueJet,” the NCAA wrote on X.

Recall that on Tuesday, 5th, 2025, K1 de Ultimate was billed to board ValueJet from Abuja to Lagos; however, trouble broke out when the Fuji musician attempted to board with a flask containing more than the permitted 100 ml of liquid, in violation of aviation security regulations.

In the heat of the confrontation between Kwam 1 and the airport security, the former poured the liquid, which officials confirmed to be alcohol, on one of the security.

The musician also defied the airport’s security to exit the terminal onto the tarmac and physically blocked the plane from taxiing after it was completed and the airport doors closed.

Meanwhile, Kwam 1 in a statement denied any wrongdoing.
