Kano State Ministry of Health has called on its citizens to pray over the increasing number of mysterious deaths in the state.

Responding to a Twitter user; a lady who asked what the Ministry is doing to address the numerous claims of multiple deaths in the state, the health ministry via its verified handle, on Sunday, said what is expected from everyone at this time, is prayers for the state.

There have been reports of mounting number of strange deaths in the northern commercial city of Kano but investigations are still ongoing to determine if it is related to the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

A report by Daily Trust indicates that residents of Kano are living in fear as more burials take place daily over unexplained mysterious deaths in the state.

However, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC only reported four new cases of COVID-19 in the state, bringing the total number to 77.
