Abdulaziz Gafasa, Speaker of Kano State House of Assembly and Kabiru Dashi, Majority Leader of the House, have both resigned from their position.

In a letter dated December 14 and sent to Abdullahi Alfa, the Clerk of the Assembly, on Tuesday, Gafasa who represents Alingi constituency said his resignation was based on personal grounds.

Dashi similarly announced his resignation via a letter to the clerk. But it is yet unknown what led to his decision to quit his position in the house.
