The Bayelsa State Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Abuja has annulled the election of Duoye Diri as governor of the state.

The Advanced Nigeria Democratic Party (ANDP) had challenged the election of Diri at the tribunal asking for a cancellation and a fresh election be conducted on the grounds that it was excluded from the exercise.

Yunusa Musa, a judge of the tribunal, upheld the request of ANDP and ordered that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conduct a fresh election in Bayelsa within 90 days.

More details soon.
