Two lawmakers of the Ondo State House of Assembly have been suspended by the leadership of the House.

The lawmakers, House Deputy Speaker, Iroju Ogundeji, and another member, Adewale Williams were suspended on Wednesday over their unruly behaviour.

MERIDIAN SPY learnt that Ogundeji is one of the lawmakers who chose to distance themselves from the impeachment process of the embattled state Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

In a related development, the Majority Leader of the Assembly, Mr Jamiu Maito resigned his position.

This was confirmed when Maito’s letter of resignation was read by the Clerk of the House, Mr Bode Adeyelu, during the plenary session on Wednesday.

More details soon.
