Lawmakers of the Gombe State House of Assembly has impeached Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Ibrahim, speaker of the assembly.

The lawmakers impeached Ibrahim on Tuesday after a vote by 16 out of the 24 members of the house.

He was immediately replaced with Hon. Abubakar Mohammed as the new Speaker of the House
