The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) has directed its members to boycott the press conference planned for Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation.

The state NUJ issued the directive to its members in a statement on Friday, asking journalists to shun any activity organised by Fani-Kayode.

The decision is, however, not unconnected to the recent outburst by the former minister to Charles Eyo, a Daily Trust Newspaper Correspondent and NUJ member, in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

More details soon.
