JUST IN: 22 COVID-19 Patients Discharged In Lagos

Lagos State Government announced the discharge of twenty-two new coronavirus patients in the state.

In a Twitter post on Saturday, the state Ministry of Health disclosed that the new discharged COVID-19 patients were eight females and 14 males who tested negative twice consecutively for the disease.

19 of them were discharged from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, two from the Infectious Disease Hospital IDH at Yaba and one at the Isolation Centre at Lekki.

This brings the total number of discharged patients in the state to 247.

The health ministry tweeted: #COVID19Lagos Update Breaking!, 22 more #COVID19Lagos patients; 8 females & 14 males, all Nigerians were today discharged from our Isolation facilities at Yaba, @LUTHofficial & Lekki to reunite with the society.

“The patients; 19 from @LUTHofficial, 2 from IDH, Yaba & 1 from our Isolation Centre at Lekki have fully recovered & tested negative twice consecutively to #COVID19.

“With this, number of patients successfully managed & discharged in Lagos is now 247.”

Earlier, Meridian Spy reported the deaths of four coronavirus patients in the state.

“Unfortunately, 4 #COVID19 deaths were recorded. This brings total number of #COVID19 related deaths in Lagos to 25,” the state health ministry tweeted.

This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the state to 25.
